As much land as the united states hold; it is unnecessary to build something for muslims on a trade mark. There is land in forcloser and not even being used. That trade mark should be represented by something for those who lost relatives and spouses. Just because muslims is apart of our nation doesn't mean they need to dominate it. They should look somewhere else and work for what they want. I think the relatives and spouses have the right to be upset and disagreeable. There's no excuse for why they should have a land trade mark.

Saving the world's women
The article is about women and saving poverty. If the world focused more on organizations that involve women and girls then the rate of poverty wouldn't increase so much. The article focus much on Pakistan and Muslims. I believe that saving the world's women would save the world from suffering. Women have the responbilty of taking care of their families and if they can't do that then everything isn't being done properly. Saving the worlds women mean doing anything possible to support them til they back on their feet. Women makes the world go round in my eyes.

5 Things for the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day
- You'll be more likely to recycle consistently if you set up a recycling area in your kitchen or utility room.
- Reuse or recycle as many of your empty health and beauty product containers as you can.
- Leave grass clippings on the lawn after you mow rather than bagging and throwing them away.
- After birthday and holiday celebrations, save gift bags and boxes, ribbons, and tissue paper to reuse.
- Invest in a set of rechargeable batteries and a charger for powering your digital camera, portable music player, remote control, and other gadgets.

Man DIED on septa
- If I were from another country and I read the article about the man dying on septa I would feel bad and think that the people in control were careless. When a person doesn't respond and soiled his pants there apparently is a problem and you should put in a emergency pick up. That was careless to the deceased man and poor customer service for all passengers that boarded that train or bus.
- Our society needs to change careless actions that could affect another person or family life. Our society does need to change because so many people die each day that we have coated to it and it doesn't affect people anymore as much as it use to or as much as it should.

Early childhood Education (Project Ideas)
Three years ago I began to volunteer at a daycare for community service hours for martin Luther King day and we had to talk about what we did and how we helped the community. Every since I been at the same daycare and helping the same kids and the new ones that come in as well. During the summer I'm there from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm to help out with the kids and to make activities and games for the kids to enjoy. Outside the camp/Daycare they also do some community things like tennis at Author Ashe, Swim lessons, and go to different playgrounds outside of Philadelphia.
As well as they learn new things and meet new people the counselors and myself do too. We go on a number of trips through out the summer. Every week they go on at least two plus trips a week. We also have spirit days on our rainy days. For my service learning project I plan to make a slide show of the things that take place. I also plan to explain the different activities that they do and the kids point of view on how much they enjoy their days there. Then I will present it at the service learning fair.

Respond to ONE of the following quotes on your blog. Find out WHO said it. How does that impact the statement?
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world."-Anne Frank
Because Anne Frank wrote this quote it is an impact because she was a victim of world war 2

"Be the change you wish to see in the world."
This quote means to help change the world as Philadelphia would say "Go Green". If you want the world to change then be a role model for that change. If you wish for something to happen then be the first to take a stand. I believe this quote is for everyone that want to make a difference. Be a leader and do something different. So be the Change and watch the world change too.

The story on bullying...
I think the parents waited to long to actually take action. It took for their son to die to really realize that he was really going through something. Its should not have been emails and phone calls made, as parents they walked up in that school and had an important meeting or the principal was getting a boot pushed in his mouth. It could have been more done than just phone calls and emails so just as well as its the school fault the parents have something to do with it too.

Teachng Tolerance
Tolerance is being able to control that event or surrounding....
You can promote Tolerance and Respect by:
You can promote Tolerance and Respect by:
- Having curfew at a certain time for teens
- Banning teens from a variety of places
- make sure the kids are following rules
- Involve parents
- Don't allow kids at places with out adult supervision
Historic Legislation...
I think this bill is a good idea because citizens who can't afford coverage for children automatically get coverage for those who don't have it. Same for the adults if they lose their job or something they get to buy their own policy and won't be denied coverage. It gives everyone a fair chance to have coverage with or without a job.

"LET AMERICA BE AMERICA AGAIN"
1. Who is Langston Hughes writing this poem for? He wasn't writing the poem to anyone he wanted to write like a "white" poet.
2. Why was "America never america" to the poet?
America was never America to the poet because America was suppose to be land of the free, But blacks were never given that freedom so America wasn't considered land of the free to them.
3. How did his personal experience contribute to this poem?
His personal experience was contributed to the poem because he was able to explain why America wasn't land of the free to blacks and he broke down why. considering that they were servants and slaves for the whites and were treated like animals and there is no freedom in that.
4. How has America changed since Hughes wrote it?
America has changed in a number of ways. One everyone now consider America land of the free because there's equal treatment and opportunity.
5. What are three aspects of America that hughes would still be ashamed of?
The little racism that still around, The children lack of wanting an education, and The black on black violence.
6. What are three aspects of America that would make Hughes proud?
Today we have a "Black" president, The equality with whites and blacks, and for families that sticking together.
7. How does this poem make you feel about America?
This poem makes me feel proud of America today and the long way we have come.

My reaction towards the Haiti video...
I seen the video and I feel bad for them and send my sorrows out, but I don't feel as bad because when hurricane katrina hit New Orleans everybody felt bad and wanted to help but not as much as the everyone is doing with Haiti. Yea, they don't have homes and lost relatives but so did many people in New orleans and other places.
The united states is so quick to help others when they should be asking others for help during our "RECESSION". People lost there homes here in the united states and and nearly half of us have decent jobs to provide for their families or some don't have jobs at all.
I do have sorrow for there hard time now and many of their loses. I hope all come out well during their dilemma.
